The long awaited Food Hackathon ’19 proved to be an exceptional event I have ever participated in my life.The richness of it being made up of about 30 different nationalities across the globe made it possible to connect to the very center of the earth which makes such a great impact and I am very honored to a part of this!!!!!

Before the start of the IBM Food Waste Virtual Hackathon, developers can create wireframes, designs and user flows. They can also come with hardware. The Food Hackathon - Hack för Maten will gather designers, chefs, students, entrepreneurs, developers and industry experts to hack the future of sustainable food. Hackathon participants spent a Monday afternoon divided into teams and took on four identified possible lanes for solutions: creating more access points to food, identifying and converting vacant spaces into food-producing spaces, connecting food insecure citizens with resources as they need them, and providing financial services and tools for low-to-moderate income people to maximize their ability to find fresh food. Their proposal won first place at the recent Food Hackathon, a competition designed to rethink the way people and technology interact in our food systems. The grand prize was a networking and mentoring trip to the 2015 World Expo, which is the first world’s fair devoted to food and feeding the world and will include a similar, larger hackathon.
